QUESTION: I am a newbie. But I do want to build a list.
I see that marketers use the same PLR products over and over. I want to be different. What shall I do?
ANSWER: First off: this is a great question, and everybody should ask this!
Second: If you don't have much knowledge, then you should consider everything you do as active learning.
What do I mean by ?
Well, for the most part, our attitude is that "something will rub off on me" and we learn something.
But learning that way is not enough. You will end up at the same place as most marketers: they don't have an active knowledge of anything in particular, they have PASSIVE knowledge, that doesn't easily come out of their mouth of their keyboard.
A few years go I learned Photo Reading at photoreading.com. We were turning the pages of a book as fast as we could. They said we photoread the book. I didn't believe it. Then they posed questions from the book, and lo and behold, I had the answers. Wow...
What I am trying to say is that you have "inactive knowledge that unless you activate it somehow, is latent, dormant, and can't come to the surface. This is what this method will do to you.
After reading all those articles, blogposts, emails, reports, ebooks, your knowledge needs to be activated
So, what is the procedure for activating, you ask? Quite simple, I'll give you just these, but there are more
1. you try to teach someone else
2. you use the .
}
You take an article, a report, and you rewrite it.
This is how you do it for it to be
You read a few paragraph, you understand, close the report, and start writing. your words. DO NOT COPY. DO NOT EDIT. That is NOT active learning. This is how you do it: you start as if you just wanted to learn the whole darn thing... lol. Don't start as if it were a test and someone would be waiting for you to spitit back, it will be word by word learning, instead: try to grasp what the author is trying to say. Mix it with YOUR understanding.
Once you are clear, close the source and start typing, or recording, or dictating, whatever modality you are trying to use.
The purpose of this "exercise" is dual: you are learning, actively, and you are creating a product, never forget that!
Do this until you finish the whole report. Do at least one of these a week.
By the end of a year you will have a Ph.D. in the topic... or close to it, and you will be able to create "real" courses of your own.
In the meantime the re-written reports are yours, and you can offer them as incentives for people to subscribe to your list or actually sell them.
For money... You want to make money, right?
Come to our next webinar on Wednesday, March 3, at 7:30 PM EST
